Enhancement of Davidstow Woods

We are currently working with the Forestry Commission in preparing a scheme to enhance the existing woodland environment of Davidstow Woods.

This may include;

• Removal of the unsightly concrete and hardcore surfaces within the woodland.
• Creation of new habitats within the existing woodland and open spaces.
• Creation of walkways and possible cycleways through the woodland.
• Creation of new footpaths linking surrounding natural attractions, like Crowdy Reservoir and Roughtor, with the woodland.
• Planting of more indigenous tree and plant species within the shelter of the existing woodland.
• Installation of information boards within the woodland.
• Creation of improved car parking and access to the woodland.
